I need some help... Anyone know where I can find some nice looking, needlepoint, stockings??? I held off getting Matthew and I one last year and now David is here and I don't have any. Well, I take that back... I have some that I bought from Target last year, but not quite what I am looking for. Any help or direction to go is appreciated!
Quick note... I am SLOWLY, and when I say SLOWLY healing from my tonsil surgery. It is the worst thing ever! Truly, for someone who (excuse me) had a 4th degree tear during childbirth, this is worse than giving birth and healing from it! It's awful! It's been 9 days now and I still can't eat anything. It's so sad, I can't even hold my son unless I am sitting on the couch. I can't even swallow a drink or soup without have a dose of Lortab. It's bad... really bad. So, unless you HAVE to have them out... don't fall for it. At least I know I did. The doctor said when he took them out that if he hadn't, I could have been sick for a really long time. He said they were the worst he's seen in a while.
Well, I am off to search for stockings, write thank you notes, address Christmas cards, watch the "nothing" that is on t.v. (Aren't there supposed to be some good Christmas movies on this time of year!)

I know exactly what you are going through. I was going to wait until you posted about your experience before telling you how AWFUL mine was. I had mine done at Christmas too and I literally lived off of sprite, and even that hurt terribly!I lost about 10 pounds.I have always said since that they don't really prepare you for the pain! It was by far the worst pain I have felt in my entire life, c-section and all! I am glad you have it over with. That picture of David is so precious!

Ebay. I get everything on Ebay! And there are lots of sellers you can "buy now" through so you don't have to do the whole bidding thing.

I got some needlepoint stockings at The Company Store. They just came in and I am pretty happy with them! I hope you start feeling better soon, I can't imagine anything worse than childbirth!
So glad you have emerged again...I've been worried. I'm feeling a little more sympathetic towards Jeremiah. When he had his out I thought he might be the biggest over-exaggerater EVER. But now, I believe YOU. It must be horrible. At least you've got to be extra skinny after nine days of no eating. Maybe I SHOULD have mine out :)
we have some from Lillian Vernon. I don't know if they would be exactly what you are looking for but that is where ours came from. Shay's mom gave Shay and I some for a wedding gift so I ordered MSN and the new baby some from there too so they at least match. Worth a shot.
