I must preface this by saying that Matthew and I have been calling David "Monkey" since he was born. Here are a few videos of David... PLEASE ignore my annoying voice!

The start of a little boy...

David has, in the last two weeks, changed drastically. He has started looking more and more like his dad...however, I still see some of me in him! He has started laughing all the time, he holds his head up so well, he's started putting a little weight on that lean body of his and more excitingly he has started talking. He talks ALL the time. He just rambles and rambles. It is the funniest thing! It just eats at my heart!

David decided to sleep rather than watch the Auburn/Miss. St. game. I don't blame him!

Michael's Wedding

Well, it happened... my baby brother got married. He married a wonderful girl name Alexia Hammock. She is from Red Bay, Alabama (pretty small town in case you had never heard of it). They met at Mississippi State and dated about a year and a half. She is really great for Michael. She makes him happy and keeps him balanced. They got married in St. Simons, Georgia on September 7. We were a little worried about the weather because hurricane Hannah was threatening to make an appearance, but with all the prayers, Hannah held off. She skipped right over us and the weather was perfect!

For this trip, we decided to make it a mini vacation. The whole family left on Tuesday and came back on Sunday. It was so nice. This was David's first "real" trip (besides the lake) and let me tell you... I felt like I packed my house. It was not an easy task, but we made it happen.

We were blessed to be able to fly...and thank goodness, because I couldn't imagine driving 6 hours with a 2 1/2 month old. The week was great... the company was great... St. Simon's was wonderful... and the wedding was perfect!

My does time fly...

David is now 3 months old...yes, he is 3 months old! That blows my mind to even say. Maybe because I haven't started writing my thank you notes yet (oops), or maybe because it has gone by so fast! :) As for the thank you notes... I promise to all you that sent/brought us a gift... we greatly appreciate it, and I am going to get on those thank you notes this week!!

In the last month, David has done so much. We enjoyed a long weekend at the lake. David got to ride on the boat with his borrowed life jacket from the Drumwrights!


David was so tired, but he kept putting his hand up to Aunt Alex's chin...so it was her bright idea to snap this shot that makes it look like "She's" thinking.


Yes, mommy has her camera ALL the time. I just refuse to miss any moment! This is the look he gives me when he is tired of the camera.

I know... I have still yet to post the blogs about the wedding. I promise... they are coming. I just have to upload the pictures from my camera and I haven't done that yet. My goal is to do it this week. Anyway, I took a couple of videos with my camera phone. It is pretty poor quality, but too funny not to put on here. Enjoy!

This first video was of David today. My mom, sister, and I were at my sister's house about to go put a balloon and some flowers in my brother's house, to welcome him home from his honeymoon. Well, David saw the balloon, (his first time ever seeing a balloon) and fell in love!! He would not take his eyes off of it. So, I grabbed it and started bouncing it in his face. This first video clip is of him laughing at it. You can actually see him in this one. The next one is even better. He started laughing so hard, but you can't really see him. It was just too good to pass up!

In God we trust...

I have not really found the time to sit down and blog about all I want to blog about. I have so much to tell... David had his first plane flight, his first vacation, and he was an honorary ring bearer in my brothers wedding!! I promise I will blog about it because I have the best pictures to go along with it all!

I just felt like with today being Sept. 11, I had to say thank you to our troops and all those who make decisions for our country...no matter what your party affiliation. I am so sick of all of this political garbage going on right now. I can't wait for November. I am just glad that there were, for at least a few minutes, times today where we all came together as ONE. We have to trust that God will lead us down the right path and with the person who is best to do that.

I have prayed for all of those affected by Sept. 11... even though it has been 7 years, the pain is still there.

Oh, and I can't forget... Happy Birthday to my cousin Britton!!!
