Here goes nothing...

Well, I have to admit, I never thought I would have one of these... but, as the saying goes..."Never say never!" I finally decided to begin one and I figured now would be the perfect time. There has been so much that is going on in my life right now...so many ends and so many beginnings.

For starters...a beginning...I got married a year ago, April 7, 2007, to my wonderful husband, Matthew. The year has flown by, but I have loved EVERY minute of it. There is something to be said about waking up next to the person who you have prayed for your entire life and knowing that this will never change.

Another beginning...Matthew and I found out we were pregnant in October and thus began a journey of many emotions. They don't tell you what all goes along with starting a family... tears, joy, fear, laughter, happiness, etc. Our due date was June 23, but as I sit here, I have been told any day now and if it doesn't come before then, we will have our first child on June 16th! We decided not to find out what we are having... so, the biggest surprise of our lives is, literally, just around the corner!

An end...Our family will no longer be a family of two, but a wonderful family of THREE!

Another end... I quit working two Fridays ago. What a blessing that Matthew has let me do this, but what a scary thought that I will no longer receive a paycheck! I will miss my good friend Randee! I am looking very forward to spending my life at home with our child.

Another end... About two and a half years ago I went back to school to get my Master's in Elementary Education. Well, I finished my LAST class this morning and what a WONDERFUL feeling that was!!

So, now that you have heard all my beginnings and ends, on to why I decided to start this blog. I have never been a very good writer. If you know me, my "claim to fame" is editing. I can take something someone has done and make it a masterpiece, but I have never been good at writing or creating myself. I have also never found myself very interesting. Now that we have a child on the way, everyone has told me that the easiest thing to do is create a blog. This way I can post pictures and updates on the baby and anyone who wants to read it, can. I must admit, I have found much pleasure in reading my friends' blogs and seeing their updated pictures.

Well, I have finished my first blog and truly can't believe that it wasn't so bad. My friends and family that know me so well are going to be SHOCKED! Trust me...

We are so excited for the two of you! Congrats on finishing school, and I think it's wonderful news that you will be able to stay at home with the baby. I thank God every day that I am able to, and I am eternally grateful to Reid as well. I think you will find that you earn your paycheck way more than you ever did before.

Congratulations Jessica! I found your blog through Mallory's. I can't wait to hear if it is a boy or girl. Most importantly, I pray you have a safe delivery. I am sure you will be a great mom. Just take it one day at time and let others help you when you need it! I can't wait to see pictures of the baby too. :)
